I'm told about 900 troops from Fort Hood, Texas will be coming to Fort Carson, Colorado in the next 3 months. A total of 14,000 troops are to transfer here in the next 3 years. Early esitmates place about 10% - 15% of those G.I.'s are to take up residence in Pueblo County. Local area real estate brokers are jockeying to get their business. Builders are speculating more new homes and the schools, particularly in Pueblo West are wondering how they are going to handle the increased inrollment.
What I was wondering is what other types of services and products will be in high demand from the boys in green and thier familys? Do we look at Fountain Colorado as a model? Surely we will need more that a couple new bars and pond shops? I think there is more to millitary personel than that, but I'm not sure what? Any Ideas?
